COSPLAYER INTERVIEW: Sriniketh R aka Diechief
Why do you cosplay?
What was your latest Cosplay?
My latest cosplay was a very casual version of Tracer from Overwatch, but my latest proper cosplay would be gender bend Chloe Price from the game “Life Is Strange”.
How long did it take you to make this cosplay? Were there challenges in the design?
This cosplay did not take me much time, as most parts of her costume were normal clothes. The only thing that took any time at all was painting the tank top, that took me two nights. The bullet necklace was made by Surya from Scythe’s SkunkWorks.
Your favorite cosplay you’ve done so far?
Now, this is a hard one, I honestly speaking have quite a few. But if I have to choose one, it would have to be Mugen from Samurai Champloo. That was my first ever cosplay, but my favorite version of it was done much later. The sword was made by Surya of Scythe’s SkunkWorks, and it was gifted to me by my very very close friend Reetam (SuperheroBlues).
What’s your favorite convention?
My favorite has to be Bangalore Comic Con!
How long have you been into cosplay?
I’ve been cosplaying since the first Bangalore Comic Con, that would be 2012.
What was your first costume? Advice for anyone just starting out?
My first cosplay was Mugen from Samurai Champloo, did this at the very first Bangalore Comic Con. And advice to anyone starting out, “have fun!!” Be it a huge cosplay with lots of details or a very simple and casual cosplay, doesn’t matter, make sure you have lots of fun!
Where do you get your inspiration from?
For my first ever cosplay, I probably cosplayed because most of my friends were cosplaying and it sounded really interesting to pass off! Since then I’ve fallen in love with cosplaying and cosplay in general! My inspiration would be all these amazing cosplayers I’ve come across since! And my biggest drive is probably the love to create stuff! Making props from scratch and looking at the final build, and in full costume, it is very self-satisfying and rewarding in it’s own way!
What are you working on next?
Nothing as of yet, but there are plans to revamp older cosplays and start on new ones too!

By day I’m a boring old Web Developer, but as the sun goes down, I’m a SUPERHERO. Well not really I just dress up and pretend to be one.
“Centurions” was my favorite cartoon growing up and I name all my possessions “Shadow” because I can’t afford a Husky.
I camp in Games like it’s nobody’s business, and if you’ve got a problem with that I’ve got two words for ya “I’m Sorry”, cause you’re a noob.
