Comic Con 2017 Trailers under one roof !!!
San Diego Comic Con 2017 has officially come to a close and boy was it a trailer orgy or what. All the who’s who of the Hollywood pulled out their big guns to out do one another. Which is a good thing for us fans as we wait for the comic panels to come to life.
Although this isn’t really news as most of you would have already devoured these trailers and announcements by now, but we thought we’d still collect the best ones for those who might have missed out on them (highly unlikely I know)
Let’s start with the big wigs. DC and Marvel were at it yet again, teasing fans dropping hints and sometimes even giving out a lot. For instance, the attendees of Hall H Marvel dropped the trailer for Avengers: Infinity Wars, which sadly wasn’t released for a worldwide audience, but managed to find itself leaked on the internet.
Following the success of Wonder Woman, DC dropped their 2nd trailer for the Justice League movie and it looks great. It explores the major villain Steppenwolf, with references to the Green Lantern Corps and perhaps Supergirl. The last bit of the trailer has the internet buzzing, is it Hal Jordan that Alfred is talking to or perhaps Martian Manhunter or maybe Superman himself, that still remains to be seen. I’m a certainly stoked for this one. #1 on my list.
Marvel continues to churn out one good CBM after another. Spiderman: Homecoming was well received and everybody was waiting for an Avengers: Infinity War trailer. What we got instead was Thor: Ragnarok and it didn’t disappoint. Backed by a retro music score and the reunion of a very likeable friendship of Thor and Hulk, Marvel has stuck to its basics and hopes to ride into the first chapter of Infinity War in style.
Ready Player One
Ernest Cline’s popular ode to the 80s is now going to be a big budget movie directed by none other than Stephen Spielberg. Hold on to your gaming gear this is gonna be one heck of a ride.
Kingman: The Golden Circle
Arriving this fall is 20th Century Fox’s Kingsman: The Golden Circle. With most of the cast reprising their roles from the first instalment, we see the likes of Channing Tatum, Halle Berry & Jeff Bridges joining the crew to form the American chapter called the “Statesmen”. This movie seems a lot of fun and carries forward the quip, the humour and the adrenaline pumping action from the previous one.
Pacific Rim: Uprising
This was more of a Call to Arms video than a movie trailer. I’m still on the edge about this one.
The Lego Ninjago Movie
If there’s no Lego Batman we have nothing more to discuss.
Oh boy, this is a huge list. Let’s get it done.
Stranger Things | Season 2
I’m trying to contain my excitement on this one. The supernatural element is off the charts on this one. Enough to make the Winchester brothers proud. October please hurry up.
Marvel’s The Defenders
Another feather in Netflix’s hat this Comic Con was The Defenders. This picks up right after the events of Iron Fist bringing together New York’s mightiest heroes. We also get a quick glimpse at Punisher. Jon Bernthal looks great in the TV rendition.
Star Trek: Discovery
Ten Years before Kirk, Spock and The Enterprise there was Discovery, and that’s all that I know about this too. Stay Tuned.
The Walking Dead
The Walking Dead is back for its eighth season, and war is coming to the zombie-infested apocalypse. As for the mysterious flash-forward look at elderly Rick? We’ll have to wait until the show returns to find out.
That’s it from me folks, that’s all I can talk about. But there’s so much more so I’ll just leave these here.
By day I’m a boring old Web Developer, but as the sun goes down, I’m a SUPERHERO. Well not really I just dress up and pretend to be one.
“Centurions” was my favorite cartoon growing up and I name all my possessions “Shadow” because I can’t afford a Husky.
I camp in Games like it’s nobody’s business, and if you’ve got a problem with that I’ve got two words for ya “I’m Sorry”, cause you’re a noob.
