‘Nightwing’ Movie Added to DCEU Slate; ‘Lego Batman’ Director Chris McKay in Talks
Dick Grayson will be following his famous mentor right into the DCEU.
Warner Bros. is plotting a new DC superhero film based on the Batman-centric character Nightwing.
Chris McKay, who most recently directed the Lego Batman Movie for Warner Bros., is in negotiations to helm the new film, and Bill Dubuque (The Accountant) is writing the script.
This seems to be a no-brainer because The Lego Batman Movie was a love letter to everything Batman, so it seems like McKay would know how to handle such a character. Dick Grayson also appeared in that very movie, but it looks like Nightwing will focus Grayson when’s already left Batman’s side, and taken on his own mantle.
Dick Grayson was the first boy wonder, Robin, who went on to the city of Bludhaven, to be his own hero, called Nightwing.
Who’s going to be Nightwing is now the million dollar question?
