Supernatural Season 11 Ep 9 : O Brother, where art thou
So let me get this way of the way ASAP, God’s sister is HOT(Don’t smite me). The new episode begins with Amara (now completely grown up), who’s shown searching for God. She kills religious preachers in a park and a church in an attempt to get God’s attention, dismissing religion as manipulation.(Did I mention how Hot she looks now) .
Moving on, Sam is tripping balls on God visions again, he tells Dean that he has had visions of being in hell with Lucifer inside the cage. He believes Lucifer maybe the answer to end the darkness. They decide to do the obvious, call in the Hell expert, enter Crowley. Crowley is the only way Sam’s getting into hell to meet Lucifer. He has Rowena captured to read from the Book of the Damned for this purpose and they form an uneasy alliance.
Dean goes solo to investigate the Church murders and is able to sense Amara’s presence. She shows up and transports them to a remote location. She claims that God has a major ego (talk about sibling rivalry) and he exiled her because he knew Amara was better at creation than him. She goes on to claim that if she was the creator, everyone would feel the same bliss Dean feels when he’s with her. Dean attempts to stab her with a knife (I mean really Dean you should know better by now) only to shatter the blade. Much awaited lip lock between the two follows. A bunch of self motivated dumb Angels show up who try to take Amara down only to result in a gory death. Amara teleports Dean back to safety as the sky opens up and strikes her (Smite me, oh mighty SMITER !!!!!).
Meanwhile the Unholy Trinity (Crowley, Sam and Rowena) are shown walking down in Limbo (lowest most darkest pits in Hell). Rowena wards The Cage while Sam speaks with Lucifer. Lucifer says The Darkness is equal to God in raw power and offers help if Sam agrees to be his vessel again. Sam refuses as the warding fails to Crowley’s shock, though Rowena remains calm. Sam is pulled into The Cage where Lucifer reveals the release of The Darkness weakened The Cage and he’s been the one sending Sam’s visions and that God was never helping them.
And just like that Sam is yet again proven an IDIOT !!!!!
Rating : (3 / 5)
Verdict : This gets a 3 star rating only because Amara is so damn Hot, other than that yet another weak episode, I’d rather see the boys do more hunting than chase their own demons. And where the in the world is Castiel or God. It’s 11 seasons already i’d like to see Morgan Freeman suddenly appear to Dean and say “Hi, I’m God”.
